The waitstaff not only spoke English, they also cared about how they served their customers
When I first came to this country 20 years ago, I remember that going to a nice(not fancy) restaurant was exciting not only because of the food but also how I could interact with the waitstaff. 98% of the times, I enjoyed talking to them when they introduced the specials of the evening, chithatted with me about my day, joked about stuff. Most of these people knew what they were doing, they knew about the food they served and they cared about how they served their customers.
Nowadays, you get these Mexican/Latino servers, most of them have NO CLUE what they are doing, you are lucky if you get an eye contact. I once went to a place where I used to love, then they started to have some Mexicans serving, and this one Mexican guy was so clueless, I had to tell him that I needed a menu!
oh Looky,
Breaking News,
Wendy’s is not considered a “real” restaurant
And do me and the rest of average Americans a favor, keep your snobs inside your gated neighborhood. There are a lot of us average Americans who care about the communities and quality of life for average people. Quite honestly, it was the Rich Snobs who heavily contributed to this problem. They are rich, but they are dirt cheap, they couldn’t bear paying their staff a living wage.

Me and my boy steve pellegrini were on a double date last weekend down at tgi fridays. Unfortunately I make minimum wage and steve is unemployed. We really wanted to impress these girls, they’re these mad hot twins who work at the Wendy’s down the street from us. When the bill came me and steve had enough money to pay for just the bill, not a 7 percent gratuity. Thinking on my feet I left the waitress the two steaktips she had wrapped up for me. The two twins seemed cule with it and we were on our way out. At the door the waitress stop me and shoved the box at me exclaiming “Thanks for the tip dickwad!” I mean I know its untraditional, but can’t food be left as a tip? I mean you pay MONEY for it. Am I right or am I right?

i’ve noticed a kind of common illusion surrounding these drugs though i don’t do illegal drugs i’ve come to question why people so commonly say “they are bad for you”.
they may be, probably are but not even close to as bad for you as McDonald’s, burger king, wendy’s, kfc, or long john silvers. those are EVERYWHERE. not to mention when you have a job and when you go into the break room… there is a microwave to cook your food with radiation so you can “get back to work ASAP ;)”.. there is no oven to cook your unhealthy tv dinner at a healthier and slower pace…
BUT when it comes to mind and body altering substances… THEY CARE and put money into making YOU afraid to take it.
why are fast food restaurants so common? so common people can eat quick and get back to their jobs…
a quote comes to mind:
“It’s a strange world. Some people get rich and others eat **** and die.”

last night I went to bed about 15 minutes after eating a bowl of chili from Wendy’s (restaurant) ..about 1 hour into my sleep, I woke with a severe burning pain in the top of my stomach going into my sides and back. This went on for about 10 minutes (awful pain) I couldn’t walk or stand and just as we were going to call an ambulance I threw up (a lot) and then I was fine, just a little upset stomach that has carried on until tonight..does anyone have any idea what might have happened? the chili wasn’t really that spicy and I do occasionally eat spicier foods and have never had this happen..thanks in advance for your help!

So, I’ve been really frustrated about this. Every time I go out of town with someone, we’ll have to eat at a restaurant. Most of them are fast food. I eat a 250 calorie six inch Subway sandwich almost every day for dinner. At least I know that’s healthy. At least Subway tells you how much something is. Anyway, if I go to a place like A&W, Culvers, Wendy’s, or Burger King….They NEVER to my knowledge post the calorie count of a meal. The only way I can find out how many calories I had, is to wait til I get home and look it up on the internet. They list the calorie count on their website, but of course they can’t list it anywhere at the actual restaurant! How is this useful? I think the only reason they don’t tell you how many calories something is, is because they don’t want you to know. A lot of these meals are seriously unhealthy. Fast food is unhealthy as it is, but it really astonishes me. I decided that if I HAVE to eat at a fast food restaurant, I will have to just order a small order of fries. Things like this, is why America is so fat. I’m not trying to offend any specific person here. I’m talking about the corporations. Yes, it’s the people getting these meals, but I don’t think they realize what they’re really eating. I used to be like that. Now that I’m health conscious, I can’t stand what these places are doing. Like, sometimes I think they’re trying to make people have a heart attack. There was a thing at KFC I think, it was a chicken sandwich, but get this, instead of using real buns, they decided to put huge patties there instead. If I remember correctly, the news said it was a whopping 1200-1400 calories! Oh my gosh….
How do you feel about this?
I’m a teenage girl who’s surrounded by people who eat unhealthy. My mom constantly tries to change my good eating habbits….I want to stay healthy like I am now, so when I have a daughter, I will be able to teach her good eating habits. Don’t blame the childhood obesity crisis on the children. It’s really not their fault.

I know someone who has been working for the fast food restaurant Wendy’s for about 10 months now and have purposely been trying to get fired to collect unemployment. How does it work and will the person be eligible for it?
