Today I couldn’t help looking at the TV screen in a restaurant and Fox News were reporting Iran was trying to build its first nuclear plant with the help of Russia. Then images of launched missiles and explosions were piled up as if to offer a sinister and macabre scenario. Comments could be read on the TV screen about the need to stop Iran from becoming an international threat.
But in the back of my mind, I thought “hey, this isn’t new. I already saw this. But when?”
Then it suddenly hit me. I saw the same pictures and heard the same comments back in December of 2002, when I had come to the United States to spend New Year’s day with my wife. But back then the chosen enemy was Iraq. In 2003 the United States declared a preventive war against the nation of Iraq, whose fallen dictator Saddam Hussein was believed to be hiding weapons of mass destruction. Weapons that were never found because there weren’t any.
This week most United States troops are withdrawing from Iraq. It makes me think that the powers that be are gradually shifting our attention onto another possible target: Iran.
But why would they now need to mess with Iran? Are the companies that profiteer from those wars building a giant pipeline in the Middle Eastern region? It’s like they’re moving from one place to the other without accomplishing anything. For what was accomplished in Iraq? As soon as the United States troops leave, there’s going to be a bloodbath. Those who helped the Americans during these 7 years will pay dearly and their families too. And nobody will be there to defend them.
I think the United States was there to secure the oil and never truly cared about freedom or democracy. And I think the same is about to happen to Iran.

yuck, I work there. I am not going to be friends with many people there. Most of the girl are mad ghetto…like trashy Ghetto. They are all fat and have tattoos which are not artistic by the way and even if they were, it would still look horrible on them because they are fat!
I just dont have anything in common, I dont even crappy food all the time like they do-pay mind that most of the girls at the pizza hut place are overweight. I am in shape and I eat as healthy as I can. I wont eat pizza 5 days of the week…one day maybe out of the month.
idk they are just trashy. nothing interesting to talk about with them. really…like what about sneakers?? no way.
I am still looking for another job…there is a hottie there yummy.
ATTENTION: I dont think they are trashy because they are fat and have tattoos, they dont have anything interesting to talk about. No taste for art, they enjoy fast food and dont know of any nice restaurant, no world knowledge…etc.
well I am in college. I am more educated than the many of the people I work with.

I’m tired of my job at Target. I’ve been there for almost a year, and I’m surprised I even lasted this long. Would it be worth it if I quit and went to go work as a hostess for Denny’s? I’m getting paid $9.15 per hour right now as cashier, I don’t know how the pay will be at the restaurant.

The Creekside Inn is a restaurant in Tucson, Arizona. It specializes in southwestern style meals in a moderate price range. Will Feld, the manager of Creekside, has determined that during the last 2 years the sales mix and contribution margin ratio of its offerings are as follows.
Percent of Total Sales Contribution Margin Ratio
Appetizers 10% 60%
Main entrees 60% 30%
Desserts 10% 50%
Beverages 20% 80%
Will is considering a variety of options to try to improve the profitability of the restaurant. Her goal is to generate a target net income of $150,000.The company has fixed costs of $1,200,000 per year.
Calculate the total restaurant sales and the sales of each product line that would be necessary to achieve the desired target net income.
Will believes the restaurant could greatly improve its profitability by reducing the complexity and selling price of its entrees to increase the number of clients that it serves. It would then more heavily market its appetizers and beverages. She is proposing to drop the contribution margin ratio on the main entrees to 10% by dropping the average selling price. She envisions an expansion of the restaurant that would increase fixed costs by 50%. At the same time, she is proposing to change the sales mix to the following.
Percent of Total Sales
Contribution Margin Ratio
Appetizers 20% 60%
Main entrees 30% 10%
Desserts 10% 50%
Beverages 40% 80%
Compute the total restaurant sales, and the sales of each product line that would be necessary to achieve the desired target net incomethat Will drops the selling price on entrees and increases fixed costs as proposed in the second part of the question, but customers are not swayed by the marketing efforts and the sales mix remains what it was in the first part of the question. Compute the total restaurant sales and the sales of each product line that would be necessary to achieve the desired target net income..

I’m 19 years old and have never had a job before. I have no experiences and no references because I was home-schooled.
I’m willing to work almost anywhere at places like Target, restaurants, Walgreens, Dominick’s, etc. but NOT Dollar Stores, Mcdonald’s, KFC, etc.
I want to make money to be able to buy things I need and pay for school.
How can I do this without experience or references?
Also, what should I list as my skills & how should I answer their questions?
Should I apply online or in person, which is more likely to be viewed?
Thanks in advance! x

Can anyone give me advice how to get a job.Im 20 years old, no experiance, no job, not going to school. For the longest time I have been filling apps for generic retail stores (gamestop, toysrus, michaels, target) and restaurants just to land a job somewhere. I almost always get the dreaded response “sorry were not hiring right now” or “sorry we arnt taking applications” then usually afterwards I get really depressed and stop job searching and then I go again and the same thing happens all over. Is there some sort of secret or process that I am missing?
