Open Question: Any Ideas For My Sweet 16?

Wednesday, September 7th, 2011

I know it’s far in advance but my birthday is in wintertime(so nothing really outdoors)
I’m having trouble desciding what to do. I want it to be memorable obviously, but
(again)obviously i don’t have the money like the people off my super sweet 16 show, but
I was thinking maybe going out to a fancy restaurant with a few close friends and renting
a hotel room and having like a batchlorette theme, well, with the girlyness or whatever anyways.
ANY IDEAS, 10 PTS?!

Open Question: I need help planning my sweet 16?

Friday, May 27th, 2011

I need ideas for an affordable birthday party. my friends all had there birthday’s before me and at each party it has gotten bigger and more fun. My first friend had a small house party which was really fun and I enjoyed it very much. My second friend had a sleepover and dinner at donald trumps restaurant and a carriage ride. The last friend who’s birthday is next week is having a spa day dinner a chef a double decker ride and boat ride plus another party night and dinner then breakfast and a limo ride everywhere. I don’t want my party to be anything like there’s I want it to be super fun and better because all of those idea’s that I explained earlier were plans I originally had and they took them so I’m stuck. I really want this too be great it only happens once please give honest help.

Open Question: Does this party idea sound dumb????? sweet 16? :)?

Thursday, April 28th, 2011

Okay, so i’ve contemplated EVERY type of party imaginable and not having a party at all, and i think i might have figured out what i want to do. I just want to see if anyone ELSE thinks this is a good idea because.. i am known for thinking too far out of the crayon box. lol.

A pajama breakfast brunch poolside spritzer.

First part- Pajama breakfast brunch, My friends would all come over around 11am or noon, and we’d go to brunch in our pajamas at my favorite restaurant, our table would be all decorated and set up ahead of time.

Second part- My mom would drive us all over to the country club pool, where our cabana would also be decorated with balloons and streamers and all kinds of shiney objects, and we’d change into swimsuits, and lounge, and mocktails would be served. Then we open presents, have a cider toast and cut my birthday cake.

So do you think its lame, or fun??????
I always wanted to have a pajama party, and was never allowed, this is my last birthday party ever, so i’m cramming all of my ideas into one. lol.
Mexican cellphone: I live in california, we cant even take the drivers test until AFTER we turn 16 here.

and sorry, but i’m not rich. So i cant rent out a whole club for the night.
I meant a pajama themed party.

Open Question: Any ideas for sweet 16?

Saturday, August 14th, 2010

I can’t decide on what to do. I probably won’t have a HUGE party with lots of people, maybe just close friends, so what should I do? Or should I rent a place and have a theme (like 80s, luau, las vegas?) Please help! Or just going out to a restaurant? Please put your ideas of a good memorable 16th birthday party with close friends! Thanks!:)

Open Question: When should I start inviting people to my 16th birthday party?

Saturday, July 31st, 2010

For my 16th birthday, I want to invite all my friends to go to this asian restaurant. My birthday is in three weeks (May 3rd), and I want to have it on a Sunday, but since my birthday is on a Monday, I want to have it on the Sunday after. (Secondary Question: What would you do, have your birthday party a day before your birthday, or the week after?). It’s my sweet 16, so instead of the usual thing we do for all our friends birthdays, I want to do something different, more special. I know I’m going to need to make reservations, since I’m inviting quite alot of people, and I first need them all to confirm they are coming, so I know how many to make a reservation (or if needed, to change the date altogether if too many people can’t make it). And I guess I’d have to give them enough time to not make any other plans first, and to ask and see if they can come. Plus, I’m not really sure how early you need to make reservations at this restaurant. I know it’s a month away, but it seems like a good idea to mention it to them now. But I don’t want to seem so freaked over my birthday that I invite them really early. What would you do? Should I wait a week or two before inviting them, or invite them now?
It’s not like a reaaaally huge party, just want to invite my friends to a restaurant.

Open Question: How much notice should I give my friends when inviting them to my birthday party?

(Secondary Question: What would you do, have your birthday party a day before your birthday, or the week after?). It’s my sweet 16, so instead of the usual thing we do for all our friends birthdays (go to Boston Pizza), I want to do something different, more special…a little more formal. Not too formal, but more formal than just chilling at someone’s house. I know I’m going to need to make reservations, since I’m inviting quite alot of people, and I first need them all to confirm they are coming, so I know how many to make a reservation (or if needed, to change the date altogether if too many people can’t make it). But I don’t want to seem so freaked over my birthday that I invite them really early. What would you do? Should I wait a week or two before inviting them, or invite them now? What is the customary amount of time I should send the invitations before my actual party?
