Open Question: My brother is a total jerk and @sshole?

Thursday, November 17th, 2011

I’m 20 and he’s 22. We have never been really close and we used to fight a lot (physically). Though we no longer hit each other we still do not get along. He always put me down and makes fun of me. He says he does it because I have no friends (I have some) and I act immature. He thinks he’ mature, but he’s a heck of a lot worse than me. He tried to wipe his boogers on me (he did that to his gf too) and was spitting ice at me in a restaurant. He’s broke, but my mom does buy him things. He is so greedy w/the snacks that my mother pays for (he chugged an entire carton of chocolate milk so that we only got half a cup). I don’t get in his way, but he goes out of his way to bug me. What can I do? Wtf is his problem?
Btw I’m a girl.

Open Question: Want to know some celebrity secrets?

Friday, August 19th, 2011

on talk shows if you are wearing a skirt, you’re told to keep your legs crossed with your right leg slightly raised the entire time so it doesn’t appear “fat” due to the way the camera points at it.

on talk shows, the green room is filled with snacks, water, drinks, and a fruit basket or basket of gifts to take home. you’re told to not eat or drink anything until after your interview is done, to avoid burping, indigestion or having to go pee while being interviewed.

hotel rooms are booked under management/publicists name to avoid reporters and the public from knowing you’re staying there.

if you get photogprahed at a restaurant and do the paperwork right there and then, allowing the photographer to publish the photo in a magazine, the restaurant pays for your meal as a thank you for the free publicity.

Open Question: How much weight would I have gained from this?

Saturday, February 5th, 2011

I’m on vacation in Florida with my family from yesterday till Tuesday. At home, I usually eat very healthy things like tuna, almonds, apples, boca burgers, brocolli, etc. Well here I have to eat the food that they make or eat the fattening restaurant food. I feel sick to my stomach and I’m tired of them only buying junk food. I explained to them last night about my concerns about the way they eat and their health problems, but they just don’t understand. They buy junk food at home too, and I just shake my head knowing that they will die much younger than they should because of it.
To eat for “snacks”, they bought a 3 POUND box of cheezits and a CASE (not just one box, but about 10) of the girl scout cookies do-si-dos, as well as 2 cans of pringles, cream soda, and three jars of peanut butter. We are only here for 4 days and there’s only 5 of us.
Today I had a half of a english muffin with butter and jelly for breakfast, they went to get pizza for lunch (and I didn’t go). Over the course of the day I had about 3 or 4 servings of cheezits. Then for dinner I had half a steak and about half cup of alfredo pasta. For dessert, I had about 2 servings of vanilla ice cream and two peanut butter cookies.
I feel so fat and disgusting. How much weight would I probably gain from that? And how can I get my parents to understand that it’s important to eat healthy for their own good and mine?
I’m 5′8″ and 121, btw. I know I’m thin, but I would like to stay at this weight. And I don’t wanna end up obese like my parents.

Open Question: how do you know you are ovulating without…?

Monday, January 31st, 2011

Hi there!! so I’m nursing my second child still he is in the third week of 9mos eating 3 meals a day and 2 snacks so he nurses about 4 times a day and the “restaurant” is open 24 hours a day (we co-sleep) so he nurses whenever at night. I still have not had my period, and I was doing poorly taking the mini pill everyday at the same time so I just stopped about a week ago. So how do I know if and when I’m ovulating with no period? Is there a way to tell without buying one of those kits? I guess I am just clueless about this subject, I bought a hpt because I have been feeling slightly bloated and just blah, but it came back negative, I don’t really trust them as much anymore because it was negative everytime when I was pregnant with my second child and I was 2mos along when blood test showed I was. if someone would please explain to me how ovulation works when you are nursing an older infant and still without period that would be great! Thanks!

Open Question: Are there 1,000 Calorie+ foods I can purchase at the grocery store?

Sunday, January 2nd, 2011

I am trying to gain weight. I love to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner and of course snacks. My problem is my meals may consist of 300 calories each and then i may eat 3-4 snacks(100 or less calories) for a total just over 1,000 calories a day. I need around 2,500 calories a day so I’m nowhere near that. I was at a restaurant recently and notices what i was ordering was 1,625 calories and i had no problem eating all of it right there and then. So i thought to myself, it would be so easy to gain weight if my meals where all over 1,000 calories per. I don’t care about gaining fat because i work out. My question is, are there any frozen meals or foods at the grocery store that are over 1,000 calories that i can purchase?

Open Question: Can you please translate this text into french for me?

Monday, December 13th, 2010

Hi, i need to present a company in french for school, so i was wondering if anyone had the guts to translate this text into french for me :), i WILL vote best answer!!!!

The name of our company is… It is a restaurant that is located in Leuven. But it’s not a restaurant you’d see every day. We offer a unique concept that cannot be found anywhere else. One of the components that our concept offers is Kaitenzushi. Kaitenzushi is a Japanese concept that is growing in popularity every day. This is due to the fact that it is efficient, fast and easy. Kaitenzushi is nothing but a sushibar where the food is served on a conveyor belt. You just take a seat at the belt and pick what sushi you would like to eat. This way you can eat what you want, when you want and you know your food will be served immediately after preparing. To ease the billing, we gave each type of sushi a certain colour of plate, a certain colour has a certain price. This way it is easier to add up the costs, thus making it efficient, fast and yes, easy. We don’t only serve sushi’s on the conveyor belt, but also soup and desserts. This is a unique concept that is scarce in Belgium. And absolutely not to be found in Leuven, where we are located. We want to attract customers of all ages, but we shouldn’t forget that Leuven has a lot of students, for whom we also have special offers etc. This will be discussed later on.
But that is not where this ends. At night, our sushi bar turns into a lounge bar. Where people can come to drink something, dance and have fun. We already have the infrastructure to turn it into a lounge bar. All we need to do is stop the conveyor belt, change the lighting, change the music, bring in bartenders and voila we have a perfect lounge. When you come into the lounge, you will not feel like it is a sushibar. Also the menu changes of course, we serve all types of alcoholic beverages then, as well as snacks for our customers. We also bring in DJs for some music. It’s obvious that we attract a younger public with this concept. We must also not forget that we cannot serve alcohol to under aged people. Sometimes we also organise special nights when certain big DJs are interested in playing in our lounge bar.
We also own a second restaurant which is on the top floor, it is a teppanyaki restaurant. Teppanyaki is a Japanese cuisine, where the chef cooks his food in front of the customers on an iron griddle. This is a very amusing and fun concept for the customers, as they see the chefs preparing the food in an entertaining way. Around the griddle people can come and sit, wear a Japanese kimono and enjoy the show. The chefs are of course professionals who have certain skills to keep people entertained. One of those skills is to juggle with the knives or throw food into people’s mouth. This is very fun to come with your family, or even for a business meeting. Companies can hire tables to have a group activity with their employees, where everyone can get to know each other etc. To keep it simple we have designed menu’s where the customers can choose from. This is of course a more expensive concept than our Kaitenzushi concept, but this is also a proper decent high quality restaurant. We also made sure the rooms were soundproof , to avoid the music and noise from the sushi and lounge bar.
Our goal is to create a restaurant which proves to become a success. For that we have certain guidelines, such as top quality food. At no time will we serve food that is not worth the money the customer is paying. The food prepared should be fresh, tasty and satisfying.
We are also strict on customer service, the customer should be happy at all times, no matter what the conditions are. Customer satisfaction is the most important thing for us, as they are our only source of income. And our success depends on them.
Our plan is to expand these type of restaurants all over Belgium and create a chain of high quality restaurants which become a healthy and amusing option for people looking to eat somewhere. Our goal is also to big university cities to offer this concept. Students should be able to eat healthy, enjoy the food and all of that at a price they can pay. This doesn’t just account students of course, it accounts for everyone, but we want offer students an exclusive price they can afford.
With our lounge concept we would like to generate extra income for our company, we want to operate at our maximum potential. But also we want to create top notch, classy and popular lounge chains. We would like to use the same concept everywhere. Everyone working for us must feel exactly the same way, and should follow these guidelines. We are thriving for success, and everyone at our company has the same ambition and goals that I have laid out for you. We strongly believe that by doing so we will the status of a household name.

SINCERLY, THANK YOU!!!!

Open Question: Am I eating too much or too little?

Saturday, September 11th, 2010

I’m 13 years old but I’m probably below 5ft or am 5ft. I weigh around 90-95lbs.

I don’t eat breakfast in the morning when I know I should.
For lunch I usually buy one type of food to eat such as pizza, ice cream, bag of chips, breadsticks, etc.
But 2-3hrs after lunch which is mostly after school my dad buys my brother and I things like TV Dinners, hamburgers, and treats it like a full meal.
At 8-9pm for dinner I usually have 2 dishes that always include vegetables, fish, and a bit of protein.
After dinner my mom makes me drink 2 bowls of soup with vitamins. When that’s done, she’ll peal a fruit for my brother and I to eat.

Every week my dad takes my brother and I to eat out for lunch but the restaurant are usually junk.

I feel like I eat too much because after dinner I’m semi-full but I’m forced to drink 2 bowls of soup and to eat fruits. I know fruits are good for you but I prefer to eat them as snacks after school. My parents have been feeding me too much food because they think I don’t get enough vegetable or food to eat. But the truth is, most of the time I eat what they tell me to is when I’m actually not hungry.
