Hi, im a 15 year old girl. I have honor roll, a clean record and im very responsible, i have many more good qualities for a job. There is an apple bees that is finally being built about 5 miles from my house. My step-dad is a crane operator and said that it’ll probably be opening in November and probably start hiring in October. Which works out really good because ill be turning 16 in October. I don’t mind being a hostess, dish washer or bus girl, as long as im getting paid. But im not 100% sure how to apply for the job when its not even open and the only reason im so worried about it now is because with the recession alot of people will be applying as well. I really need money because ill be getting a car on my birthday and i need to pay the insurance for it. Can anyone please tell me how to apply for a job when the restaurant is still in the process of being built? and any advice on the application/interview would be good too!

He appeared on the colbert report, trying to get investors for his small town/city that had been hit by recession. He was hoping someone would open a restaurant there, which would be his town/city’s first.

I live in el paso texas and my friends and i have made silver streak our favorite fast food place. its fast and they serve great food (and the employees are pretty cute). But slowly they have been closing down, there used to be four in my zip code, but now i have to drive pretty far away to go to the last established silver streak. Does anybody know why they are shutting down? Is the recession getting to them?

Object(s) of desire: the Canon EOS Rebel t2i DSLR (and a EF 50mm f/1.8 II Camera Lens ($99.95 on amazon) if possible)
You don’t normally see 13-year-olds working at McDonald’s, so I can’t work in a store/restaurant with shifts every week.. With today’s recession, too…
My mom is willing to pay me $20 a week to do chores every week (about $100 a month), but other than that, I have no other way to make money. I live in an apartment and my neighbors are practically hermits in their own homes (they won’t even buy COOKIES), so offering to do errands or babysit aren’t really options. I’m thinking about selling things I don’t need/want anymore (such as books) on amazon.com, but I have no idea how to do that.
I would really like to get a t2i before summer (most convenient time for me to photograph!) Do you have any suggestions? Please, do share. Thanks!

If I could have one wish, I wish my dad could have his old job back so we would not be in this mess. I still remember on January 21st 2008, stock markets around the world plunge amid growing fears of a U.S. recession. Ever since the news came up on the television, everything has been worse, people have lost their job and some even become homeless. Few months later, the fear of losing a stable job came true. My dad’s company started laid off some of the workers and that is including my dad. After losing his job, He ended having two jobs: in the morning he becomes a manager at Burger King and at night he becomes a waiter at a small restaurant.
Whenever he gets home, he always looks exhausted and what worse my parents never get along with each other like they used to. Each month they always fight how to pay the bills in time. As I sit in my room feeling helplessly knowing that I cannot do anything to help my parents and to keep thinking that next year I will be attending to college without any support.
I wish my dad could get his job back so my parents will not have to worry so much about everything, I get to see home more often, and we could once again become a family like we used to be.
thank you so much for your help, i know im really horrible writting and i hope you could fix and make it better

Ok… JUST so you know, this is going ot be kinda long so please bear with me.
So I have this friend…
They are so annoying. Sometimes they are nice to me but other time they are totally ridiculous and just plain old rude.
My friend has a job, and like complains about it ALL the time to me, and i’m thinking, “at least you have one?!?!” since you know a lot of people aren’t hiring and people are getting laid off because of this recession etc etc etc. but my friend is like “my job is horrible. i get so sore from it.” (my friend works at a restaurant) I mean, i’m sure it isn’t the easiest thing since i obviously eat at restaurants etc etc and i have friends who work in them, so i have a pretty good idea of what my friend is going through. But they just complain ALL THE TIME. at the same time, i’m on the swim team and I swim over like 3 miles a day waking up at 5 AM practicing for an hour or so going to school and then swimming again for 2 hours after school on top of doing homework and doing well in school. My friend on the other hand has like “co op” program and they only have 2 class A DAY four classes total b/c its like 2 one day 2 the other, and my friend gets a D/C- in english..?! and my friend only has 2 classes like half day every day and 6 hours to do hw before my friend goes to work and i have virtually an hour to 2 hours a night to do hw and i get A’s and B’s.
My friend, its kind of annoying, when we text my friend just like “disappears” for like 3 hours or more, and then comes back. And I ask like for them to give me a heads up because you know it takes like 10 seconds to type BRB and send it vs leaving me like “where did you go??” And then they’re like “oh i got sidetracked.” and i’m thinking “yeah.. sure you did..??” And then like sometimes I go to sleep because I text them at 8 PM and then by the time they get back to me after being “sidetracked or whatever the heck they’re doing..” i’m sleeping because it ’s either 1 or 2 AM when they get back to me. ANd they’re like “oh now your not responding to me…” and i text back “well maybe because I’m sleeping…?????” and i just think its so annoying that they can’t just send “brb” because they’re just like too lazy. cuz thats just how my friend is… Lazy as a person since they always complain about being sore i mean.. i swim, i know what sore is.. i know other sports players know what sore is too but yeah. my friend just complains and expects me to be like all sympathetic for them, when i feel bad for them, but seriously he needs to grow up.
I also like how they are a month older than me, but they went ot school late so they’re a senior and i’m a junior and they always talk down to me like i’m not smart or like i dont know anything when in reality i know i know what i’m talking about unlike my friend who is just .. annoying. idk how to describe.
Oh one thing that bothered me SO much, i have at&t and i had like an iphone but then i got blackberyr bc my iphone broke.. so yah, my friend unlocked a iphone for Tmobile. So we were talking about our phones and then the data plan stuff came up. My friend was like “I PAY 60 BUCKS A MONTH FOR EVERYTHING UNLIMITED ON TMOBILE AND YOU ON AT&T HAVE TO PAY 80 FOR EVERYTHING UNLIMITED TAKE THAT!!” i’m like…… “Grow up…??? ” i thought it was totally uncalled for… like I dont care what you pay for your phone . whatever that price is good for you. It shouldn’t be a competitoin between friends for what you choose to pay for yoru cell phone… my friend is a little crazy if you haven’t noticed.
Yeah.. Am i being like too senesitive or anything. but my friend bothers me so much… i could go on, but it would take me forever. This is just the main things my friend has done to impact my life..
What should i do? like should i tell my friend htey are being htis way to me, or should i just like let them do it and just ignore it.
