the new policy is suspending workers if they call off work for ANY reason and what I want to know is if i call off sick and bring in proof i went to the doctor can he suspend me? What if I have to make my kids to the ER and have to call off? It would be great if you show me where you got the answer for example illinois dept of labor

I work at a restaurant and we were having a rough night (a big party came in 15 minutes before close). While they were eating a little girl was crying and I told my boss that she just started doing it for no reason.

My boss said, “Oh, so she’s bipolar?” With a huge smile on her face. She was talking to two guys, both of whom she has dated or is currently dating. I said, “Was that a shot? Because that’s pretty damn unprofessional of you, aren’t you my boss?” She said I tell everyone anyway, but I had just told someone about the medication I was recently put on and she was eavesdropping. But isn’t it a violation of some kind of privacy right for her to keep her mouth shut about things she’s overheard?

this happens wenever im doing the lamest things, like going into Wal-Mart, eating at a restaurant or wen i finish playing fast video games like Super Smash Bros.

it’s not painful as much as it is weird. it only lasts for about five minutes. it will swell but not turn red or anything but it only happens to one thumb at a time. it started about three years ago wen i was at a shelter looking at the cats and by the time we left, it was normal again.

my mom thinks that maybe its because ive had some nerve damage in my thumb from wen it got electrocuted wen i was like 10 (19 now) but that doesnt make sense to me since it happens to both thumbs

My boyfriend of 6 months and I are having lots of problems over the fact that he won’t show me his cell phone. A couple of months ago, I casually looked at it and found some texts that were from some female, like hi watch ya doing, etc… but when he saw he freaked and took it away from me. He told me it was his friend, not to worry.. I got a bit ticked but just forgot about it. But just a few days ago, I wanted to just look at his phone, he’s looked at mine about 3 or 4 times. But I don’t freak out because I dont have anything to HIDE….And this time when he wouldn’t let me I just couldn’t take it. I just wanted to look at it once! I have never before, nor do I intend to search it daily, just this once! Sure, we work together at a restaurant, I hang out with him on his two weekday days off, like I know he’s not seeing anyone, like on dates because I just know where he’s at all times (he doesn’t have a license so his rides consist of me, and his brother in law who works with us). But he used to go out all the time before, had a bunch of guy and girl friends. I just wanted to look at it. But I don’t see a future in someone I don’t trust. Am I just overreacting or am I justified?
I just think that if he has nothing to hide, why won’t he just show me, just to get this problem out of the way.

Well I have been employed at a company called Real Mex for 5 years…..and for as long as I remember many things about this company are corrupt, ok let me explain…..I have to open the restaurant every morning, the restaurant is huge I have the main Dining, banquets and 2 patios to open, its impossible to finish everything I do in one hour, that’s one of the problems right there….I need at least two and a half hours to finish without feeling I have a time limit…..ok everyday I show up an hour early at 9am and Im suppose to clock in at 10am and we open at 11am that’s only an hour I have officially to get everything done…my occupation is busser…I have been basically working an hour every morning off the clock to successfully perform my job effectively…and I’m sick and tired of it…they reason I been doing that and not reporting it, because I really need my job, and its really tough to find a job where i live,and my manager will retaliate and take it out on my days and hours, I really need advice from someone in terms of taking legal action and how to do it properly….My managers are very corrupt and lazy…..I know that a manager making you work off the clock is breaking the law and these guys always make people work off the clock including me…..its getting to me now, i would ignore it but, me giving an hour every morning is total BS and if I try to explain to them that I can’t finish everything in an hour they either laugh at me or tell me that if I can’t do it then to get another job in a sarcastic way……and I forget to mention that all the opening employees have to deal with this one hour opening crap….and they work off the clock too in order to finish..

I’ve seen many ppls outside the restaurant, nightclubs, pubs and bars. for ex- I’ve seen a guy was pissing under the streetlight on the footpath. many couple pounds junk-food was spread on the footpath. a guy was pissing under the streetlight and another one was red with blood with torn shirt. I was astonished to see what was happening there. I treat causcation as the most civilised persons in the world but this gallery is enought to change ma thoughts.
can anyone tell me pls this is the problem of all all causcatian areas or it is happened only in UK?

Okay i’m 16 years old and recently went to the doctors for anxiety and panic attacks and they had me tell them everything that’s been going wrong and they said i sound like i had bipolar and are referring me to a psychiatrist the symptoms i have is i suffer from depression but at times i get huge mood swings from VERY hyper to VERY sad then when i get sad i get raging mad and im very paranoid like i wont stand in front of a mirror long because i feel like people are behind it watching or that people are recording me and everything and i’ve even started to get physically angry like me and my dad got into a fight and i wouldn’t have EVER even thought about hitting him before but i lost it and ended up kicking him in the balls and then i punched him in a restaurant because he made my mom buy his and his soon to be wifes food and i cant sleep hardly i stay up all night and when i do sleep i cant bring myself to get out of bed i feel empty all the time and one little thing can set me off like i was watching tv and a commercial came on that i didn’t like and for some reason it really got me raging mad then here recently me and my sister got into a HUGE fight where i ended up having to go to a hospital because she knocked my head into a counter and i hit my temple on the corner of it and it started over me asking to get on her computer and ive lost all of my friends other then 2 because i have started becoming antisocial and have actually tried using weed and alcohol to stop my symptoms….so does it really sound like i have bipolar 2 disorder and if so and they do say i do will they try putting me on meds? what kind? will they cause me to gain weight because i have a huge issue already with me being overweight?

I’m seventeen years old, just graduated high school. My curfew for the summer is 12:00. I think this is far to early. I work at a bar/restaurant pub place, the latest I’m ever off is 10:30, and sometimes I want to go out with friends after.
Let me tell you: I have never ever given my dad a reason not to trust me. I never drink or do drugs. I graduated with a 90 average. I just want to have fun after working hard all year during school and all day at work. I live a five minute drive away from good university so I am going there in the fall an living at home, and I don’t want to have to worry I about a curfew then.

I want 2:00 am during the summer and no curfew during school. I mean, I can see myself accidentallyfalling asleep in the library or crashing at a friends or something. Im not going to party all night I just want to not worry about time.

I feel like I should have earned his trust by now.
PS. My moms not around so its just my dad.
