RAM lauds repeal of soda fountain fees

The Restaurant Association of Maryland cheered the recent repeal in the state’s General Assembly of a law that would have imposed licensing fees for soda fountains on restaurants and retail establishments.

Red Mango, the 45-unit frozen yogurt chain, has unveiled a program in which it will buy back a store for up to $275,000 if a franchisee is dissatisfied within six months of opening.

Danny Meyer to open new Italian eatery in NYC

Union Square Hospitality Group said Monday it had been selected to create a new restaurant for Ian Schrager’s Gramercy Park Hotel in lower Manhattan, as well as run all of the hotel’s food and beverage operations, including room service, banquets and private events.

USHG to open restaurant in Gramercy Park Hotel

Union Square Hospitality Group has been chosen to create a new restaurant for Ian Schrager’s Gramercy Park Hotel in Manhattan. The restaurant will mark the group’s first new full-service restaurant since it opened The Modern at the Museum of Modern Art in 2005.
