Monday, March 8th, 2010

my topic is to find a solution to end obesity
i have 2 solutions but i don’t know witch 1 to choose

1. make a program that whips you while running so you could keep on going, and wearing an ankle bracelet to supervise if you go to a fast food restaurant and if you are eating good. and if dont follow these instructions you will have to pay a fine of $55, the progam will last until you lose weight and be fit.

2. my other solution is to prohibit extra large clothes that way people will really want to loose weight

Open Question: Past feelings that worked them self into the surface.?

Sunday, March 7th, 2010

I met the girl that I loved since I met her.I met her twice since we put and end to our friendship.First time I was able to hold myself back, acted as we had no common past. Not long ago I met her for the second time, i was with friends. This time i had no chance to “escape”, we were at a small restaurant and she wsas the only person that was able to serve us at the moment. I was my old self and some how i made her laugh.
Some of my friends knew her too, so they had a brief discourse. While she was talking with them she kept looking at me, first I was ignorent about it, but later on,when every body where busy. We looked at each other.I could read the sadness in her face, and i was missing her , and the times we spend together.
How can get over her? I even attempt a suicide, and right now I am going through some stupid recovery program.I tolled her that I was about to do it, but I am not sure that she knows that I eventually did it.

Open Question: Friend Problems, help please?

Saturday, March 6th, 2010

I know I have asked this before, but I wnat more opinions :) Alrightyy so I had this friend once upon a time (lets call her Jen) and we had this circle of friends. So I used to get jealous (shame on me) of Jen because her and (lets call her Molly) Molly would ALWAYS hang out and Jen was OBSESSED with Molly. SO anyway, one day Jen tried to get me jealous on purpose, and she was with Molly. So I was stupid and got mad at Molly and stuff. So Jen wanted to get involved and said something like I can talk bout Molly all I want blah blah blah, me and Molly regret being your friend blah blah blah. So, me and Molly made up but to this day (Its FEBRUARY! this has been going on since summer!) Jen calls me a**hole and stuff. So me and Molly have been in fights since then because of Jen, so we decided that we wont tell Jen we are friends so she cant screw things up. But the problem is that shes ALWAYS around, and its like we cant be ourselves. PLUS Jen still calls me that word, just yesterday we were all at a restaurant (after our dance class, a lot of our friends go to) and Jen texted Molly under the table “Are you and the a**hole friends again?” And Molly responded “uh, no” so she wouldn’t find out. But it kinda bothers me how Jen acts as if she can control Molly’s life. Don’t people have to get married to suffer that? Some one help me, please! Oh and Jen purposely starts drama. She even texted my friend (her friend too) yesterday at the restraint randomly and said “why are you hanging out with that a**hole?” plus, shes not a good person. she smokes and stuff. Oh, and Me and Jen are in sixth grade and Molly is in Seventh. But, next year we will all be in the same class, so I will feel left out if we keep on keeping this a secret, I just know (in out school the gifted classes are split so like its !st and 2nd grade in one class and so on.) So WHAT CAN I DO?!
BTW: Molly and Jen are really good friends

Identity theft linked to illegal immigration

Apr. 23, 2008 06:58 PM
McClatchy Newspapers

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Nobody likes getting a letter from the IRS. So imagine Amanda Bien’s reaction last Valentine’s Day when the agency wrote to demand $3,300 in back taxes.

For jobs she never worked. Five of them. In multiple states.

A Lenexa, Kan., Taco Bell. A Wendy’s restaurant. Two Target stores, one in California. The Engineered Air manufacturing plant in De Soto, Kan. Someone, somewhere, got Bien’s name and Social Security number and gave it a workout.

A 28-year-old illegal immigrant was later arrested at the De Soto plant and faces ID theft charges.

Though illegal immigrants aren’t the only ones stealing identities, cases like Bien’s illustrate the inability of disparate government agencies to tackle the problem.

While lawmakers in Washington debate ways to crack down on illegal immigration, the market for false documents and stolen Social Security numbers is booming.

Particularly vulnerable, authorities say, are legal residents with Hispanic last names. Or, as in Bien’s case, names that could sound Hispanic.

As politicians know and Bien is finding out, it’s a problem that defies easy solutions.

The IRS may suspect that multiple people are using the same Social Security number, but the agency doesn’t investigate ID theft. Local police and prosecutors cannot deport illegal immigrants they arrest.”I feel like nobody’s listening,” said Bien, 23, of Ottawa, Kan. “If this can happen to me, it can happen to anybody. And if we don’t do something about it now, what’s going to happen in 10 years?”

Federal estimates indicate that nearly 10 million Americans become victims of identity theft each year. Officials can’t say how many of those identities are being used by illegal workers, but prosecutors in Kansas say they see more cases of illegal immigrants using fake credentials every year.

It mirrors an increase in overall cases related to illegal immigration. The Kansas U.S. attorney’s office received 18 such cases in 1997; in 2007, the number was 106.

Experts expect the trend to continue, and they’re finding ID theft in surprising places. Last fall, U.S. prosecutors in Missouri charged five noncitizens with ID theft after they were found working in the Kansas City Federal Building’s cafeteria.”We know there are thousands and thousands of people working here who aren’t even supposed to be here,” said Brent Anderson, assistant U.S. attorney for Kansas. “There is rampant ID theft going on … and I’m afraid that given the situation we’re in right now, this is just the beginning.”
