Illegal aliens are pouring into this country by the thousands everyday. They say they come here to do the jobs we “don’t” do such as picking strawberries. Yet that was probably true 20-30 years ago, now they work construction, retail, hospitality, restaurant, etc. and in direct competition with the law abiding citizens of this country. Now what do you think of this?
Creating a license through the federal level to work anywhere in the United States.

Must have SSN
Must be over 14
Must show proof of residency.
Must have 2 picture Identifications with 1 issued by the US government.

Everything must be verified and approved before they are issued and it is illegal to hire anyone without the license to be employed in this country.

I know this may sound like Big Government and I hate big government. but if we do this it may curb out illegal immigration entirely.

I was supposed to work friday night at a restaurant but I wanted the night off so I called my manager and said I was hurt and couldn’t. I then told him I went to the doctor and that he said to stay off it for a couple days. I actually am injured, but I didn’t go to the doctor. My manager now wants a doctors note as proof that I actually went. What do I do?

About a year ago I found some bank statements in my husband’s jacket (I don’t know if he was trying to hide them) and I found that he had used his debit card at restaurants and hotels a few times. I confronted him about it and he said that he took his nephews (all adults) out to dinner sometimes and put them up at hotels because they were in dire need of money. I didn’t really believe him, but I had no other proof, so I told him that I trusted him (which I really didn’t). Now, a year later, he’s always checking his phone (he doesn’t have a job that requires frequent phone calls) and erasing messages. I caught him talking in a very low and kind of a sweet voice on the phone with someone- when I asked him who it was, he denied he was on the phone at all, but I did here him, I just couldn’t tell what was being said. I asked him to let me see his phone and he refused. He even went out the back door running away from me as I kept asking him to let me see the phone. This happened on another occasion (me asking to see his phone and him refusing). Again, I asked him if he was seeing someone else, he denied it and he looks so truthful- he looks me in the eyes and keeps denying it. I asked him to swear to me that he isn’t (swearing is something we take very seriously, he got very angry and told me that once he swore to me that he didn’t that everything was going to change in our relationship. He got down on his knee and swore to me, then became very angry and is acting like a victim. I am on disability and he is giving me hell about buying groceries and other things that are needed around the house. Today, he got drunk at home and went out driving and won’t answer his phone. Does it sound like he’s cheating? Why did he get so angry after having to swear to me that he isn’t seeing someone else. I’m really worried about him and I feel guilty- what if he’s not cheating. btw, we have been married 28 years.
There were dinner and hotel transactions on more than one occassion.
I asked him to tell me if he wanted to leave. I told him that I wanted him to be happy and that if he wanted to split to just let me know that there was no need for all this sneaking behind my back. He said he didn’t want to leave.
Since I’m not working he has all the money he makes in an account that is to his name only, but it has been this way for many years now.
I’m in the middle of a legal case for an injury and I don’t know if he’s just waiting for me to get my settlement.

We have been to a local restaurant (Mongolian BBQ) for some time since moving to Bozeman. We alway’s have our Service Dog with us, and we always get a table away from everyone. Two weeks ago the Owner asked us to leave because of the dog, we politely informed him that she is a Service Animal, and he was in violation of federal law. We even provided him with said law in writing. He still told us to leave. The Service Dog in question weighs 5# and stays in her pouch. Never gets near the food area. He has broken a serious discrimination law…
She is classified as a Medical alert dog. She is my wifes Service Dog. And my wife does NOT have to provide any proof of her disability to any person.
She feels that she has been discriminated against because of her need for a Medical Alert Dog.
Should she contact the media or try and educate the owner of this establishment on the letter of the state and federal laws???

We are in Georgia, and today my husband was fired from his job as a restaurant manager, along with the other managers. The reason he was given is that money went missing last week, and since they can’t know who did it, they fired all the managers, because they should have been responsible!! Problem there is, my husband wasn’t the manager on the day the money went missing! Is this fair and legal?? I am also wondering what to do about another thing…..when working there he was always paid his overtime in cash because the company didn’t want to pay time and a half! He never said anything for fear of jeopardizing his job, but now he wants to get his money!!! Any thoughts???
Oh yeah I know he is screwed either way we go on this, but he at least deserves all the past overtime! Just wanna know how to go about that!? He has proof.

My 21st birthday is Monday and I have reservations a restaurant with friends. So I’m wondering what the chances are that the restaurant will allow me to purchase alcohol. I have a temporary driver’s license (has a picture and all information on it). They took my old license but I plan on bringing my passport in case they are hesitant. I realize it is up to the discretion of the restaurant as to whether they allow me to purchase alcohol, but if anyone has been in a similar situation I would appreciate feedback on my chances of my ID/passport being accepted as proof that I am 21.

Last year, I hired a male prostitute online. To my surprise, this one actually has brains. He got hired as a waiter of a very high end restaurant I own and knows that I have money. I have a wife, family and a reputation to uphold and if any of this information were exposed, it would ruin everything I’ve done in my life. He says he’s only interested in money and has absolutely no interest in “teaching me life lessons” or the like. How would you handle this situation? Just pay up or bail? Thanks
Thanks for the responses. With the amount of money he’s asking for, I doubt he’d run out. He says he just wants a one-time payment so that he can invest and start a business of his own. I don’t believe he’ll be returning and I trust that he only wants money. He seems pretty reasonable and I don’t think he’d be using it on drugs.

Not interested in whacking him. That wouldn’t be good at all. He could, in fact, have evidence of our relation hidden somewhere just in case he were murdered.

Nah I can’t ignore this or say he’s lying. The guy has shown me all of the evidence he has and he’s definitely got some pretty damn good proof. Like I said, he is not dumb. Any other ideas?

Is the Hometown buffet healthy , my dad says it’s not bad for you and his blood pressure has gone way up after making it a habit of eating there. They on’t list their ingredients do they, where can you find their ingredients because my friends are saying that, the Homewotown buffet puts preservatives and msg in their food ? Where can we get some kind of proof to show to my dad?

I mean under Reagan and Bush the standards for the meat industry reached new lows and outbreaks of e coli were blamed not on the producers of ground beef, who had friends in high places deregulating safety standards, but on restaurants etc. Under Reagan and Bush senior there was still a bit of regulation however.

Libertarians say markets would do all the regulating required. Do you think this would be the case in the food industry where even when regulated flouts public safety to maximise profits. Im sure glad to be a vegetarian thats for sure
