Throughout my years of working customer service I have stumbled upon the unhappy customer. Big surprise right? However, it seems that certain people like to start trouble more than others. I am more of a laid back type and tend to think before acting. I sometimes wonder if the unruly individuals have an internal problem or that is just their personality? If I am in a restaurant, retail store, etc and the worker accidentally messes up, big deal? We are humans not robots. I understand and move on. However, if it is intentionally, that’s a different story. Phew, just had to get this off my chest. Anyone know what I’m talking about? Past experiences are welcomed!

I have a little boy who just turned 4 this past April. He really has always been pretty laid back and an easy child to raise. I always did time outs with him, and with his personality they were always extremely effective. My question is about when he gets excited. When my son gets excited, he seems to become jumpy and get the “ants in the pants syndrome”. An example would be for Mothers Day we met my in laws @ a restaurant for breakfast. He was excited that we were all there together for breakfast (meeting @ a restaurant is something new). While there he sat next to my husband which in my opinon is an AWESOME daddy, but much more laid back than I am with parenting and pretty much everything. While there, my son was sitting in his seat, but saying things like “chocolate, chocolate” —while drinking his chocolate milk, and extremely energetic and bouncy (i don’t know how to explain it). My niece (my sister in laws daughter) who is about 10 months older wasn’t doing any of this and was just sitting there quietly eating her breakfast. I got upset by my son’s behavior but didn’t say anything except—”Calm down”—and my husband would say things like “i got it” and then just allowed this behavior. At one point, my son was leaning on my husband during breakfast as if they were snuggling @ the table ( it looked very awkward). At another point, my husband put his hand over my sons mouth (in a very non aggressive way) just to try to get him to stop being so loud (which tells me that he agreed that his behavior was a little too much). When I spoke with my husband in the car, he told me this was normal behavior for a 4 year old when they get excited. Maybe getting excited is normal, but I do want to teach my son better ways to express excitement rather than being soo jumpy. On a positive note, he sat in his seat, he didn’t run around, he was very pleasant and respectful to everyone. Any tips, suggestions on what to do about this “excited” problem??

I have an infatuation with this boy I met online…do not worry he is legit…coincidentally, he is planning to move to New York in a year or so and so am I. Right now he lives in Alabama and I in Texas until we both move to New York. He had chatted with our mutual friend…he talked to her about my personality and that I loved MJ (cause we’re both crazy about him) and that I was beautiful…he also said if I lived nearby, he wouldn’t hesitate to date me…he had chatted with some other people that he was going to stay single until he meets his special someone in New York. I am completely crazy about the boy…we have been chatting since October…but we’re just friends. I can talk to him about anything and we have so much in common…same fave restaurant, same fave shows, love playing video games, and both love acting…
what I want to ask is do you think he likes me? Do you think I have a chance with him? he is so kind and sweet and have gotten to chat with other people who know him…in a year or so we’re both planning to move to New York to go to the same school so we’ll be much closer of course…

This might seem like a mean question, but it’s honest. I just don’t know what to do about it. And sometimes I think that I get on her nerves, too x3
Anyway, this has happened before, and after ranting about it I got over it. But I continue to rant now (to my family x3) and nothing’s happening. But yeah, the reasons why she gets on my nerves sometimes is that she can be really hyper, she sings to EVERY song she knows (and some that she doesn’t), she doesn’t share my sense of humor and laughs at stupid and predictable stuff, we don’t really have a lot of common interests (especially music — she likes all the popular stuff, while I like very little of it), we share different ideals (she’s really religious and I’m not, she judges people based off of things I wouldn’t really care about (for example, she didn’t go out with this guy because he said he liked working at a fast-food restaurant and “wouldn’t give it up for the world,” but otherwise he had a decent personality)), and just stuff like that I guess.
Anyway, often I find myself wanting to tell her to just be quiet or to lighten up or how I think about things when I radically disagree with it, but if I did I’m afraid we’d get in a big fight and it would really hurt her feelings. She comes to me with her problems, which I appreciate, but I feel like I can’t talk to her about mine because she’d be judgmental. I just want our friendship to be fun, open, and honest. What should I do?

I am a senior, about to graduate from high school. First off minimum wage isn’t the issue. I know I have to start off somewhere, my concern is the actual job. I know it might seem weird because at my age, I shouldn’t be worried about the contents of my job, as long as I make money. But I cannot stand mundane, mind-numbing jobs.
I volunteered at a thrift store which made me realize that retail is the most villainous of jobs. I worked in a fine dining restaurant setting, and while the tips were good, I realized how people are more than just hungry for a bite, they are money hungry, simultaneously through their wallet’s mouth and would do anything at your expense to get you in trouble to save a buck or two. And, it’s just not my thing.
My personality described would be creative, and a little bit defiant. Not defiant in the sake of being a rebel, but I won’t be brainwashed or taken advantage of. But I realize that my second description would have to be tamed (To some degree).
I like using my mind, as well as my hands to create things. I like variety so being in a changing environment would be a ridiculous plus.
I am looking for some words of knowledge, wisdom, or just your two-cents, some advice. Am I living in a fantasy realm inside a glass, or can I actually find my “dream” job, if you will.
Thank you for enduring, and for your time.

I’ve taken this girl out on a couple dates now. I have some strong feelings for her, but she’s different in a way that I haven’t seen in a woman I’ve dated before. I’m not sure if you could call it insecure, but maybe you can so I want you opinion. Pretty much when we go out, she doesn’t like to decide anything. Our first date I threw out a few ideas to try to get her opinion, and she’d reply anything is fine with me. So I picked one of the ideas. It was during the day and we were at the location of the date and there were many restaurants. I asked if she was hungry. She said I don’t know. I asked how do you not know if you’re hungry? She replied with “well guys are always hungry so if you’re hungry we can eat.” So I asked her what her favorite kind of food was. She replied with “everything.” So I named a place close by to see if she liked that place, she said she didn’t care. This continued on throughout the date.
The next day I was talking to her, and she had plans for the weekend with some friends and she invited me to come with. I said “that sounds great” and she replied with “only if you want to though, I’m not going to make you.” So I was like what the heck….well the weekend comes and she asks me if I’m still going to go. I said yes of course, so she tells me the details for when and where, and i’ll spare some details but she had to meet me there instead of me picking her up. Anyways, after I get the details I told her it sounded good, and she replied back with okay well if you end up going I’ll see you there.
I’m pretty confused on this personality…is it being insecure? Something different? I have no clue…I’ve never seen it before, what does it mean? Thanks.

I feel dumb asking this question, but anyways… I am 16 years old.. I drank a 5 Hour Energy before I worked my shift at a restaurant. I work at a 4PM - 10 PM shift, I drank half a 5 Hour Energy when I got at work, and drank the rest 7-8 PM. After that, I became really mellow and sad. Every one at work was surprised since that was not my personality. Anyways if any one can help me out that would be great!
Thanks for reading, and responding!!!
