A North Carolina restaurant posted a sign that read: Screaming Children Will NOT Be Tolerated. I want to be a mom but I have to agree with NC. I don’t know if it’s young parents or all parents in general but I think it’s irresponsible and a bit selfish to take small children to public places. If they don’t know how to act in public LEAVE THEM AT HOME.
So many people take their infants to movies which tells me it’s more about them catching a movie (which will be on dvd in 6 months) I don’t want to go to a restaurant and sit next to a screaming baby, can they even eat solid foods? Young kids are more excited by McDonald’s than going to a fancy restaurant which tells me even more it’s about the parent.
The same parents don’t realize that people can be sick and contagious before they even get their first sneeze and yet you put your young child around this. I agree with NC hope it comes to TX. Anyone agree?
@Gaba Goo why should I leave if i’m there first? And I already don’t go to movies and over do it at resturants let alone when I have kids.
I do have 3 small cousins I babysit and I KNOW they don’t know how to act. I would love to take them many places but they’ll run off.
And like I said small children are more likely to get sick but if you feel good bringing your kids around a bunch of possibly sick strangers more power to you. -.-
@Mellie I never said don’t teach them how to act but what about the people who bring infants to resturants and movies can you theach them?
There are other places you can take children to teach them to act like a musuem. Why does it have to be an olive garden?
Face it fancy resturants and the new hit movie is for you not your kids and everyone else has to deal with it.
@Lonigan I am sympatheic but the fact is when you make the decision to have kids it’s no longer about you. There will be nights they miss new movies and going out with friends but that’s what they choose. Theirs kids resturants and movies come out on DVD everyday. I bet my 5 year old cousin will pick chuck e cheese over red lobster. There’s no excuse for taking a newborn baby to a resturant/movie
@Kat THANK YOU. It’s not about leaving kids at home it’s about taking them to appropiate place. I can’t get excited about zoos but my baby cousins can.
Parks are less and less designed for adults. We have an inflatable world here which was made for kids.
The angry parents can say what they want but taking small children to upscale resturants and movies like intercepion is for them not the kids that’s why most people are disagreeing with them.
@lulu I love your answer but there are bans for annoying adults it’s called smoking bans.
There’s disturbing the peace laws and some resturants won’t admit you if you show up drunk.
@Misty dawn I am old enough to have kids and I do love kids. And maybe you care more about the question than the writing. You obviously knew what I meant or you wouldn’t have pointed it out. Upscale resturants weren’t designed for you infants or anyother infants. Why should I limit myself to 21 and up? I love olive garden and red lobster. Seriously find something else to be angry at.

In the small military town i live in they only allow x amount liquor licenses some are owned by real businesses ( apple-bee’s, chilies, etc.) The rest were bought by churches who believe drinking is vile and they hold them renewing them year after year making it so businesses such as olive garden and other favorable restaurants cannot get them making it impossible for the community to grow.
what i would like to know is if a church is acquiring a business liquor license are they still able to be considered a non profit? they also said that they would sell them to certain companies for an exorbitant amount.
Its not even bars, its Olive Garden, that they wont let in.
no they dont sell alcohol at the church they are just sitting on them. they dont make money off them they ‘attempt ” to sell it to companies but they ask so much its not worth it to the companies to come to this town.

My birthday is December 7, but I will being having it on the 11th. Obviously it is going to be freezing where I live so I’m having it inside. I have two ideas as to how to do it and can’t really choose, so which would you want to attend.
Idea 1:
Theme: formal ball (girls in dresses & boys in dressy clothing)
I will have 4 childhood friends(all girls) on the “Royal” court, they will be arriving at my house around 3:30 and we will spend time hanging out together in the mall in our formal dresses from 4:00-5:00. At 5:00 a limo will be picking us up from the mall and taking us to a rented venue where the rest of the party will be arriving at 5:30. Pictures will be taken as soon as everyone(boys and girls) gets there. After that the party will consist of food,presents,games/cake, and dancing. The party will end at 8:30, the “Royal” court will leave in the limo to go get ready for a movie just for us then head home for a slumber party.
If you like this idea:
What kind of cake should I get?
What color theme should I go with (I hate pink and purple)?
What kind of music/food?
Idea 2:
Theme: Formal dinner party
The birthday party will begin a 12:00pm until 2:00pm for eating cake and opening presents with friends and family. Then I will have 6 friends(all girls) dress up in formal attire (dress or just something fancy) go shopping at the mall for about an hour or two, maybe go to the spa. Have pictures taken around town. Then go out to eat at a fancy restaurant, like olive garden or firefly. After that go to a bowling ally or movie and enjoy a fun time with close friends. Then head home for a slumber party and maybe roast some marsh mellows and drink hot chocolate.
If you like this idea:
What should we go to a movie or bowling ally?
What should the decorations/cake be?
Should I rent a limo for the time we are out on the town?

Well I called 4 places: Friendly’s, Olive Garden, Carrabbas, and Outback Steakhouse.
I have never been to Olive Garden, Carrabbas, or Outback Steakhouse, only Friendly’s, so I don’t know the environments of these restaurants.
I would like your opinions on which is a nicer place to work and why.
Also, how much do waitresses make in Pennsylvania in these restaurants? And who gives better tips do you think?
Please don’t tell me to call and ask, that’s why I’m on here asking.
thanks in advance. Best answer, most detailed.
