2 examples are KFC and Nandos.
I am Sikh. I live in a predominantly Christian area. Sikhs are the most dominant minority. There are literally only a handful of Muslims.
I don’t agree with eating halal meat. But if I want to enjoy a KFC for example, I now find it a struggle to find a KFC that doesn’t serve halal meat.
Do you think it is right that so many restaurants are adopting halal meat, when Muslims form the extreme minorities?

Hi.
I have an interview in a couple of days (UK) and have a few questions.
1) What is the wage for a team member aged 17?
2) Will I be told at the interview if I’m hired or not?
3) If I do get hired, what happens from there?
4) I no you do training, do you get paid while training?
Another issue is, the restaurant I applied for is 6 miles away from me and only one bus can get me there. On the phone they asked if I could work until 11.00 as on my app I put 10. I said yes, however, my last bus home is 11.08pm, and the bus is like a 3 minute walk from KFC. If I get let out dot on 11pm I should be ok. Should I mention this at the interview? And if so will it affect my chances? Thanks

So, I’ve been really frustrated about this. Every time I go out of town with someone, we’ll have to eat at a restaurant. Most of them are fast food. I eat a 250 calorie six inch Subway sandwich almost every day for dinner. At least I know that’s healthy. At least Subway tells you how much something is. Anyway, if I go to a place like A&W, Culvers, Wendy’s, or Burger King….They NEVER to my knowledge post the calorie count of a meal. The only way I can find out how many calories I had, is to wait til I get home and look it up on the internet. They list the calorie count on their website, but of course they can’t list it anywhere at the actual restaurant! How is this useful? I think the only reason they don’t tell you how many calories something is, is because they don’t want you to know. A lot of these meals are seriously unhealthy. Fast food is unhealthy as it is, but it really astonishes me. I decided that if I HAVE to eat at a fast food restaurant, I will have to just order a small order of fries. Things like this, is why America is so fat. I’m not trying to offend any specific person here. I’m talking about the corporations. Yes, it’s the people getting these meals, but I don’t think they realize what they’re really eating. I used to be like that. Now that I’m health conscious, I can’t stand what these places are doing. Like, sometimes I think they’re trying to make people have a heart attack. There was a thing at KFC I think, it was a chicken sandwich, but get this, instead of using real buns, they decided to put huge patties there instead. If I remember correctly, the news said it was a whopping 1200-1400 calories! Oh my gosh….
How do you feel about this?
I’m a teenage girl who’s surrounded by people who eat unhealthy. My mom constantly tries to change my good eating habbits….I want to stay healthy like I am now, so when I have a daughter, I will be able to teach her good eating habits. Don’t blame the childhood obesity crisis on the children. It’s really not their fault.

And noticed that KFC was going out of business. There were many angry black people who were willing enough to even as much as fight the owners of the restaurant for closing down. So me being my usual self I thought I would go down there and see what the hustle was about. When asking them what the problem was they started saying things like “Guuurrl”, and “Nigga” . I hadn’t thought that I’d done anything wrong, so I called the police. When they came they prosecuted all of the intolerant, violent people. And one girl, who’s tag read Britney, congratulated me for saving the town from a bunch of havoc. She said that the town was always going through crazy things like that.
Had I done the right thing by calling the police?

I’m 19 years old and have never had a job before. I have no experiences and no references because I was home-schooled.
I’m willing to work almost anywhere at places like Target, restaurants, Walgreens, Dominick’s, etc. but NOT Dollar Stores, Mcdonald’s, KFC, etc.
I want to make money to be able to buy things I need and pay for school.
How can I do this without experience or references?
Also, what should I list as my skills & how should I answer their questions?
Should I apply online or in person, which is more likely to be viewed?
Thanks in advance! x

I rescently bought a small fast food restaurant and business is slow. The food is good but is no match for the near by, big time franchises (KFC, McDonald’s) and their great tasting cheeseburgers and whatever else. P.S I don’t know much about cooking and don’t know any great chefs.
Basically what I want to know is, how would I go about producing a menu worthy of competition in such a competitive industy jam packed full of resourceful multi-national franchises and sucessful small businesses.

The food is good but is no match for the near by, big time franchises (KFC, McDonald’s) and their great tasting cheeseburgers and whatever else. P.S I don’t know much about cooking and don’t personally know any great chefs. I guess I over estimated the store’s profit quality but selling it is not an option. I need to improve the core product, no going around the problem this time!

Not including Subway, I mean the McDonalds, BK, Taco Bell, KFC and Jack and the Box. The main thing I like best about Wendy’s is the lettuce on their burgers is ALWAYS FRESH. And it’s great, in salads too I notice with other veggies. Go to BK or McD’s and the lettuce is soggy, covered in mayo and brown, SICK! I don’t eat fast food much but when I do Wendy’s is always my choice if I want a burger. (even if they are square lol) What you think?
Never heard of Five Guys, any in Seattle? I’ll have to check it out.

I dont know if anyones seen this promotion but i just thought id share some of the small print on their webpage http://www.bucketsforthecure.com/. If you read the very bottom youll read;
*KFC restaurant operations have contributed 50 cents to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure for each Komen branded bucket purchased by the operators from April 5th, 2010 – May 9th, 2010. Guaranteed minimum contribution is 1,000,000.00. Customer purchases of KFC buckets during the promotion will not directly increase the total contribution. The Susan G. Komen for the Cure logo, running ribbon and bucketsforthecure.com are registered trademarks of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The image of Colonel Sanders is a registered trademark of KFC Corporation.
The part that interests me is this part:
Customer purchases of KFC buckets during the promotion will not directly increase the total contribution.
I think its very interesting how not everyone knows about the fine print. If you think im making it up check out the website. I am not slandering of trying to harm this promotion in anyway i am simply pointing out what in small text is on the bottom of the home page for www.bucketsforthecure.com.
I would like to hear what everyone think or has to say about this.
