I mean, sure it was old but most of the improvements in the new stadium (HD videoboard, luxury suites, restaurants) all could have been fixed with some renovations like in the 70’s. I really think the old one is much prettier and grander than the new one.
Well Fenway Park was in disrepair for years and they fixed it up really well. And like I said, they probably could have fixed it with rennovations. Besides, $1 billion of the $1.5 billion project was paid for by the NY taxpayer, not the Yankees.

the minimum wage just got raised recently but not by much. I think its now $7.25 both for New York and the Federal it was about $5 before. Everything was horrible before. Its not even enough to afford to survive. Now that its raised, all the prices of everything everywhere just got dramatically raised instantly. You cant buy a candybar for less than a dollar. A small 12ounce can of soda is now around $2. Cigarettes are pushing $10 a pack. Gas is over $3 a gallon. All of the menus at the restaurants of the prices went up. All of the items in the supermarket went up. EVERYTHING went up and NOTHING is improved at all from it!

Isnt the minimum wage supposed to HELP? Why dont they keep the prices so same so poor workers can afford a slightly better living or raise the wages more to at least improve the purchasing power! Why dont they raise the minimum wage to $12 an hour so people dont have to live in a cardboard box? Why wont the purchasing power improve? Can Taxes be a reason? Now they wanna tax all the stuff so if people wanna buy them, they will be even POORER!

Why cant the minimum wages be set at a decent level or living wage? Is this fair? Why does New York have the same minimum wage as Florida and equal to the Federal Government when the cost of living is much higher? Will there be any improvements to unskilled workers than cant get above the minimum wage? Why do the politicians keep talking about the minimum wage or raising it when it didnt help this time? Is the purchasing power of minimum wage workers lower now than it was decades ago?

Improvements in guests’ perception of service and value at some of the country’s largest restaurant companies contributed to another quarterly uptick in the American Customer Satisfaction Index. The national economic indicator, which measures customer evaluations of products and services in several industries, rose 0.4 percent for the first quarter of 2009, to a score of 76 on a 100-point scale.
