I’m talking a few people out to dinner for my birthday, so im hoping itll be an average of about $13 a plate. Anything french or italian is fine, and im looking for someplace nice where people wear chic clothes. I know im asking a lot for too little, but hopefully with somewhere with a young/upbeat ambiance?

Okay, so I was at Planet Hollywood on Saturday and I was watching the music videos they have on the screens on the wall, and one of the videos was a guy with a camera, and he was at some sort of party, and he had a beard and white sunglasses and he got all these people to start doing the same dance in the middle of this party or restaurant or mall thing, I really couldn’t see. And then at the end they said “How did we do it?” and then posted the names of 4 or 5 people and the only one I remember is MysteryGuitarMan, but I checked his channel and he didn’t have it there, and I’ve been searching all over for it but it’s nowhere to be found. Any ideas???

Bruce is considering the purchase of a restaurant named Hard Rock Hollywood. The restaurant is listed for sale at $1,040,000. With the help of his accountant, Bruce projects the net cash flows (cash inflows less cash outflows) from the restaurant to be the following amounts over the next 13 years:
Years Amount
1-9 $98,000 (each year)
10 106,000
11 114,000
12 122,000
13 130,000
Bruce expects to sell the restaurant after 13 years for an estimated $1,140,000.
a) Bruce wants to make at least 9% annually on his investment. Calculate the total present value? (Do not round PV factors. Round your answer to 2 decimal places. Omit the “$” sign in your response.)
Halp?

Koi, STK are my two main picks. Two other ideas? There is Beso and Katsuya. Anything better? Only answer if you are “in the know.”

My mom and I are going to L.A. to visit my sister, who lives out there. We have lots planned, listed below. But I was wondering if anyone knew of things to do that aren’t being so heavily promoted on all the “tour LA” websites (e.g. the Paramount Backlot Tour that we’re going to do). I wanted advice on things that everyone should do, but that maybe we haven’t thought of yet (perfect example, like my mom’s list included the trip to Sprinkles for a cupcake) ANY and all ideas are greatly appreciated! P.S. My sister’s covering nighlife, so I don’t need any club or bar ideas, My little sister has that covered!
Things we’ve thought of:
- Backlot tour
- Tour of Beverly Hills/Star homes tour
- Hollywood sidewalk
- Cupcakes from Sprinkles
- Dinner at Gordon Ramsey’s Restaurant
We’ll be there 5 full days, 4 nights, so we still need LOTS of ideas!
Anything within a comfortable drive is fine (up to an hour)
