My 16 month old son has suddenly became VERY picky with his eating. He use to eat EVERYTHING that you put in front of him just like 2 weeks ago. He’s always had a good, big appetite. I called his doctor and she said it was normal for him to become picky around this time, but he’s flat out not wanting to eat. Yesterday I was SO lucky to get him to eat a few healthy things. He ate a banana, a small half container of apple sauce and french fires (I know they are not healthy but that’s all he will eat!) At home sometimes he will eat part of a banana and cookies… and that is IT! I’ve tried everything, every kind of food. I know he’s hungry because he’s grouchy all the time. I don’t think that he’s sick and my doctor didn’t seem very concerned, but it’s really worrying me. He has always ate so much (and still underweight for his height) and I’ve always given him very healthy food but now all he’ll eat if we go to a restaurant is french fries. I am afraid he’s going to become malnourished! How can I get him to eat again? He hardly eats anything.. Also what can I do to make sure that he is getting all the nutrients that he needs? He’s too small for gummy vitamins because they are a choking hazard. Thanks!
Oh I also wanted to mention that about the same time this started, we just moved into a new house last week and I’m afraid that maybe it’s because he’s homesick for the old house. I just don’t know what to do to help him.
I’ve tried not giving him anythinig to eat… He went all day and still refuesed everything until I gave him a cookie at 6pm because he was actually getting physically sick because of not eating.. he’ll just go until he starves if you don’t give him the cookies. I’m afraid that other foods may be hurting his stomach. I’m not one to spoil at all
I mean anything as in cookies. I tried a lot of other foods and he wouldn’t eat anything at all
