Open Question: I shouldn’t be complaining about this, but I am. So there. :P (Survey as well)?

Saturday, November 27th, 2010

Since I am such a bright kiddo, I get to go to some lunch with all the other smart kids next week at a fancy restaurant. It’s for getting a 4.0 in both years of being at my school. Problem is, I really don’t want to go…I’m not good friends, or really friends at all, with anyone going. I actually dislike most of the people going. There is…one girl that I’m kind-of friends with. That’s it. But I’m being forced to go by my parents. Ughh. I know that I will not have fun at all. >_>

Survey:

Do you like school?
What’s your GPA?
Enough about school- you ready for summer?
Any big plans for your time off?
Do you like warm or cold weather better?
Would you rather go to Dairy Queen or Coldstone?
What is your favorite kind of pickle? (:P)

Have a better day than I’m having, please. :) GPA is just turning your letter grades into numbers and taking an average, if you feel like doing the math…

A- 4
B- 3
C- 2
D- 1
F- 0

Open Question: I don’t understand this whole “tomato shortage” thing?

Thursday, June 24th, 2010

So, states all across America are possibly going to have a tomato shortage this year due to cold weather in Florida. I don’t understand why each state doesn’t just grow their own tomatoes? I understand some climates are cooler than others, but greenhouses maintain a growing environment all year round. Tomatoes in grocery stores and restaurants are just replicas of the real thing anyways so I don’t think it’s a taste issue preventing states from growing their own. I just think it would make more sense for each state to sustain their own produce market within their means. Please help me understand.
Dr. Dew, I am obviously not speaking in terms of everyday people growing their own produce. I am talking about the commercial market.
@TheAcaciaStrain and that’s really sad. I know there are food safety laws that probably come in to play with that, but it would seem better for the market on both ends to buy locally produced vegetables. I know Florida is set up for it, but maybe it’s time for that to change. ?
