Open Question: My bf tricked me to pay for a fancy dinner then told me he tricked me?
My bf and I had a little bit argument on the phone. But when we met later, he was all smiling and happy and I thought maybe he was trying to get pass it. He suggested to go to a really fancy restaurant, and I was like “it’s a really expensive place, let’s go to a cheaper one”. He said “No no, you deserve the best, let’s celebrate tonight”. I thought he was in the mood for that so I said OK. When we got the menu, he said “tonight I will let you to choose, just get the best of the best, don’t ask me about anything”. So I ordered the steak which was a very tasty one there, but because of the price, I only ordered that because I wanted to save him some money. I actually told him that I’m not very hungry. But he insisted ordering another 2 and got a lot of alcohol. He seemed really happy and it made me very happy. So the dinner was really fun until in the end he told me “I hope you don’t get mad, but I don’t have the wallet. Thank you for the beautiful dinner” I suddenly realized that all he did was trying to get me to pay for this fancy dinner. He was pretending to have a good time just to get me. I asked him why he did that, he said he was mad. I was really happy to see that he could initiate the makeup after our argument(he almost never did that). But now I realized that was all just a lie.
It really hurts my feelings. And when I asked for an apology, he said “I have no comment.”
