Open Question: Is he planning on proposing?
My boyfriend/fiance have started planning our wedding the last few months, it’s no surprise that we are getting married although the funny thing is he hasn’t officially popped the question yet! We have talked about getting married for the last year, when we actually started to talk about wedding details he became unemployed, so setting anything in stone was kind of put on the back burner for a while because he could not afford a ring at the time let alone a wedding, the good news is he is employed again and we are back to discussing wedding details.
It’s already the middle of March.. we plan on getting married sometime between December 2010 and April 2011. Now that he has a job again, I know he makes enough to be able to finance a ring.. he is constantly bringing up weddings and babies, as soon as we get going in conversation about it he stops himself and says ‘lets wait until I really get a ring on that finger to get into the details’… Even though we are already planning the wedding, he still promised to give me a real proposal when he gives me the ring. His whole family keeps asking us when we’re gonna get married.. so his whole family and I are all just waiting for him to pop the question now..
For our two year anniversary (which is a couple weeks away.. April 3rd) we had originally planned to go to the restaurant of our first date, and he had suggested we get really dressed up because it’s a special day for us (suit, tie, dress, heals, getting my hair done etc).. he then changed his mind and decided we should get away for a weekend, so we are going to go stay at the state park (which neither of us have been to but everyone tells its GORGEOUS!) we’re going to tour waterfalls, and canyons, and even go horseback riding.. (which I LOVE and he absolutely hates, but he suggested it anyways for me). All my girls are telling me he is going to propose… Part of me agrees.. but another part thinks it all seems to obvious.. and I know he wants it to be a surprise.. and for that reason alone I think this might not be it.. but at the same time.. if we want to get married between december and april.. I can’t think of when else he would propose… I know this is a lot to read… but I’d like to know what you think…… will he? or won’t he?
Keep in mind, I’m not going to be disappointed if he doesn’t because I know it’s coming.,. It’s more that if this ISN’T the proposal weekend… then I have no idea when to expect it! haha
